Its lavender buds, that one was my very first. I didnt know how much to put in and I put in a ton. Big mistake, but everyone that got it for Christmas still loved it.

This was my first try at swirling color in the pot, but I had accelerated trace and ended up just glopping color in the mold. Oh well. C'est la vie! It smells lovely, though! Cotton Blossom FO

Hey, that came out better than my version of cotton & blossom! That FO accelerated on me and I didn't even have time to put in any color! Ended up plain white...

I haven't posted for a while, so here is my latest soap. It is inspired by my daughter's friend. She posted on Facebook that she was eating bacon and chocolate ice cream together.

Link is to a larger photo. I used bacon fragrance, but I'm not sure I like it. It smells more like liquid smoke than bacon. For color I used TD for the white and Iron Oxide for the red. I used the funnel method to get the layers. The oils include lard and cocoa butter. I don't remember the rest and don't have my notes handy. It is still curing, but I love how it looks.

When you posted the other day that you were going to make chocolate covered bacon I thought, "YUCK!" Now that I know you were referring to soap...LOL It's really pretty. Don't know about the smell though.

@cat - mine accerlerated too, but as soon as it started I separated some to do the blue and worked getting that mixed. By the time I got back to the pot it was really thick. So I ended up putting about half of the white in my mold and then a few glops of blue, then some white, then the rest of the blue. Then I just mixed it with my spoon and pounded the mold on the counter to get air bubbles out. I put it in the oven to gel because I was hoping it would hold everything together better! It turned out much better than I thought it would.

I love that funnel swirl - awesome. I had a bad seize today so my dreams of funnel swirling congealed into gloppy mashed potato nightmares instead. LOL
