How do I know if a supplier is using synthetic ambergris or not? I understand that there is a lot of controversy with ambergris and civet, I am interested in purchasing this FO but only if its synthetic. If it is indeed synthetic, does anyone think that this would be okay for Vegans and vegetarians?

Real Ambergris is quite rare and extremely expensive. So I think it's pretty safe that whatever you buy will be synthetic. Vegans or vegetarians might be turned off by the name alone, unless you call it something different.

I had to wikipedia Ambergris because I had never heard of it. WOW! That's all I have to say, WOW!
