There are soaps out there that seem to combine Melt & Pour with CP. How is this done? Is the MP added at the same time the CP is pouried into the mold? Or right after? Has anyone come across any tutorials or recipes that tell how to do this? I'm dying to make this kind of soap but I can't seem to find instructions anywhere.

As an example, here are a couple of links that show pics of what seem to be CP and MP combined:

I love the textures and colors of this soap but unless I kidnap the lady  who makes it and force her to tell me how she does it, it doesn't look like I'm going to learn how to do it . . .

I make CP with MP. You can either make it in layers like CP on the bottom, then MP over the top, or pour both at the same time to get swirls in your soap. I posted a pic of mine some time ago.

Really? Awesome! Did you post the pic in response to one of my posts? If so, I must have missed it. Do each of the soaps have to be any certain temperature when you pour?

You know Ive looked at the one womans soaps a few time now. Im not totally convinced the are a combo of both, even though i remember from an earlier post she told you they were. They seem very MP to me.

Thanks for all the help, everyone. How about the first picture link that I posted of Lush's Honey Soap? How would I get that look in my CP Honey Soap? Would I just melt a little M&P soap base, color it a yellowish tint, and then pour it directly over the CP soap in my mold? Would I need to wait for my CP soap to set up first? Or could I pour the M&P over the CP immediately? And is temp a big factor for the CP or the M&P?

Had an accident involving a trip to the ER yesterday so I was pretty drugged up. Just when I started coming down from the pain meds, my wife drugs me into oblivion again. I think she does that just so I'll be quiet. That stuff keeps me awake and higher than a kite (note the correct use of the idoms!!). So I did what every loyal soapmaker would do who can't sleep. I tried something new. I never tried this before but I think it came out pretty well.

I hope you are doing better today - we missed you! What is in your new soap? Or don't you remember? It doesn't look like a brownie so maybe we are finally off that topic!

I did a combo CP an M&P. The CP is goat's milk scented with BB's "Almond" and the M&P is tinted pink and scented with BB's "Sweet Cranberry". My pain tolerance is pretty high so I didn't really need the pain meds.....they are fun though. My wife will chip a nail and run to get some tylenol because it hurts so badly. Like I said, I think she just does it to keep me quiet. When you're taking percocet and vicodan at the same time it's.....well....hard to describe. I was lying in bed watching the pretty colors ooze out of the walls and down across the dogs who were sleeping. They were wearing yellow raincoats so it must've rained in the house again yesterday. Yeah....pain meds are fun. But I'm all better today. Staples come out in 2 weeks and burn dressing change 3 times a day. Yippee.

Supersoaper - Sorry about your accident... hope you heal well and quickly. Soon you will be the master of idoms.
That sort of looks like my glided leather (see show off your creations thread). I enjoy swirling M&P into CP... for some reason it is an easier swirl for me, and I can use clear with glitter or metalic to get sparkles. The only thing I do not like is labeling it! I have never layered it though.

I'm sorry about your accident Supersoaper. That soap looks interesting. Please post pics when you cut it.
