I have gone through the search and see that people add anywhere from 1 tablespoon to 1/4 of ground oatmeal to and oatmeal exfoliating bar. Is 1 TBS too little and 1/4 too much?

It really depends on how fine you grind your oatmeal and how exfoliating you want it to be. I usually just eyeball mine. And I also grind 2 different batches, one really fine (almost powder) and the other like coffee grind. Then mix 2 together and add. I found this to suit my skin so it's not to scratchy and still enough for anti-itch.

I use 2 Tbsp in my 2lb. batches...it's plenty!
