Really, I just do not get it, I made some liquid soap and I could not get it to thicken, 1st half no problem, same company that sold me the EO for the Valentines Day soap that gelled after 30 hours and 24 of those hours being in the fridge! Yes, I have learned to order again from BB, and give up on the other company. But in this case I tried some organic buttermilk powder to thicken (figured bath milk vs. tossing) it came really nice, smells great and has a really nice texture. Anyone think of anything that could be wrong with using this??? PH was still high enough that I do not think I have to worry about things growing in it.

Since buttermilk has proteins which love a solution like this, I would add a preservative. Some essential oils like citrus will thin soap out, some like Lavender can thicken it.
