Hello, I have tried searching topics and I never have luck, so please forgive this question as I am sure it must have been asked before; I have just purchased a large order of shea, cocoa butter, bees wax and candelilla wax can I freeze them? I have never really had the need before so never thought about it, although I think I did freeze my cocoa butter last summer because it was soooo hot. Thanks. :?:

Selena. I've kept shea butter and cocoa butter in my garage fridge long past their life expectancy and they were still good. One block of shea butter is going on 3 years and it's still good. Though I haven't tried freezing it yet, I believe that the more solid butters last longer than distributors will have you believe. On the other hand, liquid oils such as hemp oil and sweet almond oil will go rancid much quicker if not kept in the fridge. Honestly, unless you plan on keeping them for years & years, I would just keep them in the fridge instead of the freezer.

Mine is in the soap fridge. I have my fragile oils in the freezer, so I don't see why not.
