Ok this is a first for me, I made some soap yesterday morning room temp liquids and lye with vanilla and sandalwood oils, tried and true recipe, put the sucker in the freezer for 24 hours and then in the soap room (which is cool) just went to take a look and the sucker is cooking!!! It is running and gelling and the color went from white and red to gross and tan. What will it do next? I never had a bad batch in 4 years not to mention one with a life of it's own! Do you guys think it will turn out ok or should I toss it, that is when I can touch it :lol: Thanks.

Seriously, put a fan on it and elevate it so the air can get underneath to cool it off. What recipe did you use? Any sugar? Honey?

I don't think it looks bad. Is the Vanilla or the Sandalwood from a different vendor? Is the Vanilla as an absolute or is it pre-diluted? Is the Sandalwood a true EO or is it a fragrance oil?

And you've used the exact same EO's before from the same bottles? If not, maybe the soap gremlins were at your house. Me thinks you need to bribe them. I hear they like beer.
