Teach Soap

I got a huge shipment of supplies today and I am so excited I dont know what to make first! It was my Christmas present from my hubby and it just now arrived. I'm thinking of making some bubble bars but not sure I have a good recipe, I have found so many different ones online. Anyone have a favorite they want to post?

Bubble bars? We made some for Christmas gifts this year & they went over well. Here's our recipe, you're welcome to it.

1/3c cream of Tartar
1c Baking Soda
1c Sodium Laurel Sulfoacate (SLS)
1/2c Liquid Glycerin
FO or EO @ 1.5 - 3ml (personal preference on how much you want to use. Although I can say that the scent pretty much faded.)

Mix all dry ingredients thoroughly (SLS is very light so stand back or wear a mask).

Add your colorant (we used Labomb colors at the rate we use for our fizzies usually 10 - 30 drops depending on what shade you want).

Add your FO/EO

Add Liquid Glycerin (slowly & in small amounts until the mixture will hold together in you hands.

Shape your dough however you want. We roll ours into a log & cut.

It does take a few days to dry to a point where you can touch them without indenting but they eventually firm up like cookies.

Side note: I have a kitchenaid professional mixer that does all my mixing for me. I just threw the dry goods in, ran a quick (low speed) mixing cycle then added the wet goods as it was running. Depending on what you have, you may need to check out other mixing techniques. Also, this is our 1st recipe so others may have more input into it or better ways of doing something. They worked well for us & were a hit with the nieces & nephews. : )

I tried that recipe as well, and it worked good. The only thing is, if anyone can help me, I tried to roll it so I can intertwine two colors and it wouldn't. Are you able to tell me how you were able to do this? Thanks!!

I don't roll my bubble bars. I use my hands. Here is a pic of what mine look like when they are done.
