Hey guys, another quick question. Sometimes when I take my base out of the microwave and stir it so the "chunks" are gone, I go to add my FO/EO or color and sometimes it is already forming a skin. Should I add the stuff right before I do the last "zap" in the microwave?

Also, when doing layers, do you guys heat the first soap, add the fragrance/color, pour and then heat the other soap? I didn't know if it would make too hard of a skin and not stick, or if that would be just about the right amount of time. Thanks for any input!

I have my fragrance ready to add right on the counter. I also micro almost all the way, then stir til it's all melted. Then I add the scent. When doing layers, I wait til the bottom layer has a skin that's enough to support the layer above it. I make sure the bottom layer is sprayed with alcohol before I pour the next layer.
