Teach Soap

I couldn't pass up a good deal on Peanut Oil and I am wondering if anyone has used this in cp soap? I am aware of nut allergies, but will it be an ok addition in soap? Is there a specific percentage that I should use or not go over? I see that it's a soft oil with no cleansing properties so I would have to mix it up with other oils. If a person is allergic to peanuts, would they also be allergic to sweet almond oil? Would using "nut" oils contaminate my work utensils/pots when making non nut soap, even with a good washing? Thanks in advance.

Yes, it would make the soap soft. People that are allergic to nut oil, would be allergic to peanut as well as almond oil. From the research that I have done, using nut oil(s) would contaminate any pots, pans or utensils that you have used.

some people that are allergic to peanuts are not allergic to almonds. One is a ground nut and the other a tree nut. So it just depends on the person. Anyone who has a nut allergy probably has gone thru some testing so they would know.
