Teach Soap

treid CPOP for the first time last night ( Thanks Brandy), this is a Anise peppermint EO soap.
I used my hard thick plastic loaf mold from Mrdoright ( ebay) ck'd it to make sure it wasn't melting.
seemed to work out just fine.
I was trying to do the funnel method , I dunno maybe it can't be done in a loaf mold.
This was the result , not exactly the pattern I was going for but actually I like it alot!
I think this is the method I will stick with, unless using Goats milk or dairy then I will do freezer/ fridge non gel.

I really like your swirl! We are all more critical of our work than others are. Looks like you were able to get some peaks on this soap. Are you looking for really high peaks? If so I would not do oven process as that could make the top texture melt back into the soap.

Hi Susie, yes I have been trying to achieve high peaks like the pics posted in The thread " Lovely peaks"
I'm so frustrated by the whole peak thing.

So glad it worked for you! And your soap looks fantastic. I'm going to try the funnel method later today. I'll keep you posted:)

I love the contrast of colors! I bet is has an amazing scent too! I never did CPOP but maybe someday i will try it. I need a mold that will stand up to being in the oven first.

I put my wooden molds in the oven and never had a problem.

I think your soap turned out awsome! I use mrdoright molds too and love them. You can use them in the oven upto 170. For the funnel tech I pour at thin trace and as the mold fills I tap it on the counter once in awhile. It works, even in a large log mold.
