Teach Soap

Does anyone know how I would use soap to write on a soap bar? Like if I wanted to draw a happy face or write Thank you or something to that effect. Thank you!!

You could have a rubber stamp made, then use mica for the stamp portion. Some people have had good luck with the water soluble paper, but I didn't. So that's another thought. I think Anne-Marie had a tut on the net somewhere for it. http://www.teachsoap.com/

Thank you Soapbuddy, i meant actually writing on the soap with soap but I already tried and it did not work out at all!!

Is there not something known as soap paint? I heard of it and saw it somewhere but never did any studing about it???

Soap paint is fun and works pretty well. You may also consider carving into the soap with lettering.

After I carve into the soap, how do I color the letters? I bought food markers today and they don't work I guess because of the waxiness of the soap. I have an exacto knife but I don't know what to do after I "carve" out the soap for the lettering. If anyone has any ideas I would really appreciate it!! thank you!!

I'm tempted to suggest trying a tiny piping bag, like you'd use for writing on a cake with melted chocolate... You'd have to work very fast, maybe add a bit of glycerin to your melted soap to help it flow... I may have to play around with this myself

Or, what about mica & a few drops of alcohol? I made some fairly spectacular skin-safe paint this way - it dried quickly & didn't rub off as much as I'd expected...

BB sells a type of paper that you can photocopy on or write on and use it in M and P clear soap. That would be interesting to try perhaps.
