Teach Soap

Ok all - I hope someone has a suggestion...
I've been trying to work with water soluble paper and I'm having no luck at all. My first attempt bled badly. Then I watched a soap queen tv episode on water soluble paper and tried it again. I tried hairspray, "drying" for several days etc. The negative effects were still the same and in some cases even worse - one had snowflake type spots pop up all ever in the clear part. For those of you who have had successful trials - what kind of ink did you use?
Any other thoughts... - was hoping to make some items for holiday gifts.

I have had better success with using a laser printer than an ink printer. Also, i noticed that when i use an ink printer if I spray alcohol directly on the paper it will bleed, but if i spray the alcohol on the back side of the paper it seems to work slightly better.

I tried unsuccessfully to print with an ink jet even though it was touted as ink jet compatible. I have had great success with my laser printer. I would suggest only using a laser. You can spray the paper and soap liberally with alcohol and it will not bleed.

Wait a min. Darn the luck...! I just noticed that my water soluble paper is for ink jet printers only. Uhg! I assume it will melt the paper if I use it. What kind of paper have you all used?

I haven't used it but I know there is special paper for Laser printers. It may still though. Laser printers use powder as ink, so your MAY still work.
