Ok, I stumbled across these things today and am curious about them but when i search the topic "soap nuts" i just get websites of soap makers or a very brief Wikipedia description. Has anyone ever used these fruits? Can they be added to products such as CP soap? It seems like they can be very good but i just have never heard of them and don't want to be sold "snake oil". Any links or information would be great!

Soap nuts don't lather very much. They are also not friendly for any fish that come in contact with the affluent that comes from soap nuts. I would not add it to any soap.

Same for soapwort (the herb) I wouldn't waste my time adding it to soap.
