How long does a loaf take to cure? Or how long must you wait before cutting it for immediate use?

Loaf might take longer since air can't get into the whole loaf. I normally cut mine as soon as I can, then the soaps get cured. If you let the whole log cure, you will have a difficult time cutting it.

One of my co workers wants a whole loaf, so I was wondering what to tell her maybe I'll give her a loaf but sliced.

I have seen shops that offer loafs that you can slice off the size you want... so how do they do this? Could it be that they use softer oils, so the loaf is soft and easy to cut? I think BB offers a whole loaf that the buyer can cut... what about that?

The loaves that Bramble Berry sells are cured for 3 weeks prior to selling them and we try to turn them over (i.e. sell the entire stock) every 3 weeks so they are fresh when they get to customers. We assume 3-5 days in transit to ensure a full 4 week cure and dry time before they get to customers.

Soaps that are superfatted around 5% without a water discount and are under 60% in Olive Oil typically will cut for months and months with no trouble, in my experience.
