Has anyone tried added alkanet root powder at light trace instead of infusing it in oil? Does it dissolve or
are there specks of purple color?

I haven't done it myself, but I have a bar from an Etsy seller with alkanet (mistakenly, by her admission) added at trace - it's speckly, & slightly scratchy. Some of the color did disperse into the body of the soap, but it's mainly just a pale tan with deep purple/brown specks & swirls. Personally, I kinda like it, but I know the Etsy seller wasn't completely pleased with it.
