Teach Soap

I'm looking to add some "scrubbies" to my soap. I would like something very gentle...more to add texture than exfoliating action.
I plan on using poppy seeds in my next batch, but what about flax seed? Any ideas??

I like to use finely ground oatmeal sometimes. My daughter likes the oatmeal soap because she has, what I call, "little girl skin" she's 12, and doesn't yet need a lot of exfoliant. She says the oatmeal feels good.

I find poppy seeds too scratchy. I haven't tried flax seed. Oatmeal is nice, just don't use steel cut oatmeal. You can also use jojoba beads.

Whole flax seeds would definitely be too scratchy. If you want to try flax seed, try getting the milled seeds, but even that may be too much.

Ick, I did not like poppy seeds either. Rosehip powder made a wonderful scrubby bar. Of course there are always salt bars...

I have used ground oatmeal, ground flax seed and calendula (dried marigold). I plan to use poppy seeds in my next batch of gardeners soap

What about finely ground cornmeal? I've used it in hand milled soap and it works pretty well. I've also used white playground sand in hand soap for gardening.
