I wanted to post this last night, but got tired and went to sleep instead...Within 1/2 hour, I was able to pop the soap out with no problems whatsoever. It was still quite warm, but other than that, no prob. I am definitely not used to popping soap out of the mold that quickly or easily! I waited a bit to try using a bar in the sink - I guess I've been spoiled! - it lathered ok, but no great shakes. The scent is fab tho'. I am so used to BB stuff! Hubby tried out the Stephenson base, and it worked well, as far as melting and such.

Now, since all the f/o's are in brown bottles, should I be worried about age?

Also, I found out the name of the person who bought this stuff, and she also bought a bit from BB-is there any way to figure out the age that way?

Actually, she included the droppers, spoons, wisks, measuring cups, everything you can imagine using for making soap, so my thought is that she used everything separately and cleanly. I don't know about contacting the person that this was bought from-I seem to remember mom (and you have to remember I was happier than a pig in ****, so not sure) saying something about that person may have died. That is why I was so happy about finding the person's name, so that I could maybe go to suppliers and ask (like BB! hint, hint)

There are 2 (at least) different bases-one is Stephenson's and the other came from Sweetcakes soap supplies. Then, I just looked, and one base is unmarked and comes from Canada-chamomile soap base, and aloe vera soap base (which is a dark clear green). We'll see as time goes on.
