Teach Soap

I tried to search the forum for my answer, but came up empty. I just made some lip balms with coconut oil, sweet almond oil, avocado oil and candellila wax and they're grainy feeling on my lips. Is it the wax? I was using beeswax, but a vegan friend of mine, well, you get the idea.

Any advice would be great! Even if the advice is using a different wax.

Next question, it says ButterEZ can be used at 10-15%, is that percentage for the whole batch, or for the amount of wax?
