Hello, all!! I have a question. How do I find out if a fragrance is pthalate free? I have a potential customer who is interested in some sugar cubes that I make with Coconut Lemongrass and Monkey Love from BB. Unless I'm blind, I didn't see any indication. I did email them but I was hoping someone might know. Thank you.

I have a very recent P-free list from BB - Monkey Love is P-free, definitely, but I don't have Coconut Lemongrass on the list, so I'd assume that one isn't.

Thank you ladies and I did recieve an email back from Leah(cust. svc.), she said that the ingredients in FO's are protected by the Trade Secret Law and they are not privy to that information so, go figure!! I didn't want to know how they made them and what scents they used, just if they were nitro musk free and pthalate free!

Not at all I assume that if a scent isn't on here, it does contain +1% phthalates. Or, it's too new for them to have included it.

Thank you so much for posting that list! (Also cool to see what a variety of fragrances are available.) I'm glad to see there are so many phthalate-free options. I have a massive migraine after my soap making adventures this evening - I know I'm sensitive but I thought I'd be ok because I'm making them as gifts (for my sister, who can handle any type of perfume or fragrance), and I'm not planning to use them on myself... I should have known better - just working with the scents was too much! Next time I'm sticking to one fragrance at a time, and only off of this list!

Glad to help I notice a definite correlation between my using phthalate-d FOs & my migraines/DH's asthma - it's not 100%, & there are some P-free FOs that still give us trouble (Huckleberry, Tuberose Moss & Beau Brummel, for the record), but it's a good guideline to follow for us.
