Teach Soap

Hi all
Oh no, I've been working on some Water Soluble Paper Embeds lately, it's not as easy as it looks but the latest SoapyLove tutorial on really helps! But, in my haste and thrill at trying a new way, I forgot to spritz with alcohol... and let me tell you, those layers split like ... bananas! (banana splits?)...
Soooo sad. So what I've taken to doing is salvaging as much of the clear soap as I can, and as much of the white soap as I can, and the rest just gets melted into a mould to use at home.... Trial and error...

The problem I had with the soaps before I read the latest tutorial was waiting too long to put the paper in the soap, or pouring the white soap too hot, and you get clouds and fog that way. I had to dismantle three, but these three below made the cut (or I'd be up til all hours restarting them). There's a bit of clouds in the green one and a bit of fog in one of the pink ones, but it's sooo much fun, I'm going to keep trying until I get it right, and my hat's off to those of you who manage what you do... not easy!


Practice makes perfect, they say. Thanks for looking. And don't forget to spritz that alcohol!

Those are the three that didn't split, and didn't turn out too badly. Luckily.
I have to play with the embedding paper some more, it's not as easy as Anne-Marie and Debbie make it look!!!
But at least I have three soaps for the raffle baskets, better than nothing. I couldn't start any earlier...

Still, the alcohol mistake will definitely ensure I don't forget again!

I learned the hard way about forgetting the alcohol now I place a sticky on the corner of my mold that says - ALCOHOL!
