So I bought this FO & EO modifier from the other site, it's basically an emulsifier for oil in water emulsion. Anyway, usually when you list ingredients for room spray or body spritz you just said "fragrance". But then there's a section listed by the site all about California Proposition 65 that requires people in CA to list all toxic ingredients. This is copied directly from the site I bought the modifier from:
California Prop 65 Reportable Ingredients: 1,4 Dioxane, CAS#123-91-1, ≤ 20 ppm. Acetaldehyde, CAS#75-07-0, ≤ 4 ppm. Ethylene Oxide, CAS#75-21-8, ≤ 8 ppm. Formaldehyde, CAS#50-0-0, ≤ 4 ppm.
California CSCA Listable Ingredients: 1,4 Dioxane, CAS#123-91-1, ≤ 20 ppm. Acetaldehyde, CAS#75-07-0, ≤ 4 ppm. Ethylene Oxide, CAS#75-21-8, ≤ 8 ppm. Formaldehyde, CAS#50-0-0, ≤ 4 ppm.
My question is, do I have to list it as above?! This is the first time I ever encounter CA prop 65. But if I have to list all these and give a warning, that would repel all the potential customers. How do I know if any other fragrance oil also contains anything from CA prop 65 list?
