I'm on a roll this fall - I have caught the bug I guess. I am very happy with how this batch came out. Batch #3 - BB Champagne FO. OO, CO, PO, Shea Butter, Jojoba, Castor. There's some ash but I'm still new at this and ash doesn't bother me tons (yet). I will try to buff it out with panty hose when they are cured more. But right now the ash is a "badge of soapmaking" for me.

Pretty feisty! I love the colors in those bars, excellent and the swirls are so nice. Whoa!

I use a bit of mica if there is ash. I usually don't get ash but sometimes around an edge or so. I just add a touch of mica and that does the trick. When used then the mica washes off to show the more defined swirls, so two surprises in one bar sort of! LOL

Feisty, those look amazing!!! I get ash a lot, don't know why, but the pantyhose trick seems to work for me I wish my swirls came out like that! I'll just keep trying.

Hi Soapchick! I was wondering what the recipe was for your Escape Spa Bar. I need a good white soap that swirls easily. I'm having issues. Do you get pot ash? I've been adding beeswax to try to stop it, which is working, but it is making a thick trace fast. Looking for help from others. Thanks!

PS The Escape Bar is really pretty. Good job!

Tried a couple of new things (for me that is)

This was going to be a two layered soap but poured too soon, got a semi swirl its patch and orange.



These are my first ever salt bars, did separate molds so I did not have to worry about when to cut.



And this is my first attemp at a larger size batch = almond and arabian spice.



I'm having FUN!
