Just a quick question, can I add any kind of salt to a lquid shampoo to make it a little bit thicker?

Yes you can, but be aware that if you use too much it will turn to the consistency of water.

How much salt to a 4 ouncer, and what kind of salt? Sea salt? Table salt?

I used an FO from Elements bath and body, and shampoo base from sfic, also sold on Elements.

Here is what I would try. Make a salt 1:1 solution of salt & water. If all the salt doesn't dissolve, add a llittle more water til it does. Then take a dropper and add a few drops at a time. Gently stir so you don't get bubbles and then wait a while. If needed repeat this process. Do it slowly because once you add too much salt, there's no going back.
