I'm new to soap making. I was wondering if there are any differences in the fragrance oils and their use of use? In other words, is there a fragrance that is easier to use for beginners?

Any advice is appreciated.

It depends if you are talking about MP or CP. For CP I would go with Energy, Lavender FO, Oatmeal, Milk & Honey or White Tea & Ginger. I'm probably forgetting a few...

Thee are a couple that, in my recipe, really accelerate trace and take some practice. Cedar&Saffron and Plumeria are especially naughty.

It's usually the florals that accelerate trace.

Thank you! I'll stay away from florals in the beginning then. :)

Yes. Energy. Be careful with Rain. It has seized for me. I have also had good luck with Cranberry Fig
