How do some soap makers get such a clean layer effect? Can you layer over two day old cp soap?

I've done layers 24 hours apart. Then stuck the whole thing in the oven so it would gel and the layers adhere to each other.

When I do layers, I like to make the layers in two separate batches. While I am making the second batch, the first layer usually starts to gel and harden up so that the second layer doesn't mix with it at all. I have always achieved good results this way. It is a little more work, but I think it is worth it. Otherwise, you are tempted to pour too soon or the second color might thicken up too much. I have never waited over night though.

That you both for your good advice. I never thought I could do either one. I make my soap and than hide it away cover in 15 towels and I am afraid to even look at it for 24 hours, us newbies :mrgreen:
