Hello-I've finally been activated!!!

Here's my question fellow fabsoapers:
I would like to use some of the small batch CP recipes listed on the teachsoap homepage however-they all use hempseed oil. I do not have any.

What can I substitute?

Not sure why the hemp oil was chosen for all of these-I may buy some as I like the properties. In the meantime-as I only have some small molds, would like to use the small (1lb) recipes.

In the meantime..I'm off to soap!! Yay!

You can sub any oil or butter you like, just make sure that you recalculate your recipe on a soap calc. I don't use hemp seed as it has a very short shelf life. To see other recipes that you might like, take a look here: http://www.millersoap.com/#Soap Contents
Once you find a recipe that you like for your 1 lb. batch, I would change the ozs. to grams. You'll get more accurate results that way. Make sure that you have all the safety gear along with a good scale.
