Teach Soap

After ignoring my soap suppliers instructions about cutting the tips off the pigment bottles l now know it wasn't a good idea to ignore instructions.One hard squirt and one bottle of pigment later l have learnt my lesson the hard way .
The next tip l will give everybody is recap your FO's as you use them ,my kitchen now reeks of Lavender and strawberry,turned around to dump the ruined soap base in the sink and knocked over two bottles of uncapped FO's.It wouldn't have been so bad if the two fragrances went with each other but l can tell you strawberry and lavender don't.
Think its time to say Goodnight to my soaping for this evening .

Lol! Don't feel bad, we all have those nights. If you have a garbage disposle, try putting something like a potato down there to help with the smell, or an apple. I have learned that both seem to help get rid of horrid smells (or normally pleasant ones. LOL!)

To pops1, I recommend that you not throw your soap down the sink because that WILL clog your drain.

Here's what I do..
If there's a little nipple on the bottle I pull it off.
Now with all bottles having just an opening.. I glove up my pouring hand, and plug the hole with my finger/thumb. Then invert the bottle over my measuring bowl - slowly release some pressure from the opening and drizzle until the correct weight - replug hole with finger/thumb.

Just like how you see chef's drizzle olive oil with their thumb on the opening of the bottle.

BIG sympathy! I speak as one who's spilt 20ml of pigment green liquid colorant over a varnished pine table which has, kind of, lost most of its varnish. Mmmm .... green wood!
