I want to be able to market my soaps as "all natural". I am curious about color. What types of colorant do I use to be considered natural... micas? Are the micas natural? Are some of them fake?

My understanding is that micas are naturally mined then coated in an FD&C color or other pigment, which in my mind makes them not natural. Here is a link from TeachSoap that I found helpful

I think to really be "all natural" you should stick to colorants such as alkanet, turmeric, rose hip powder, cocoa, etc. Sticking to all natural colorants limits your palate, but you can still make beautiful soaps! :D

Micas are not natural. They are made in a lab so they could be cosmetic safe. there are many herbs that you can use to color your soaps like alkanet root or yellow dock.
