i Finlay gate fresh goat milk to make soap,so i freeze it,and made soap with:
10 oz olive oil
6 oz coconut oil
8 oz palm oil
2 oz Castor oil
2 oz cocoa butter
2 oz Shea butter
2 oz mango butter

12 oz goat milk
4.30 oz lye

1 t paprika - for color

i mix the lye and oils around 85.everything looked good,i get a nice Orange pink color.i let it set for 1 hour,i didn't cover it.after 1 hour it was hard and still had the nice Orange pink color,so i took it to my garage, check 1 hour later and the color was Brown tent,it was soft and it has a cracked.
sooo: Wat did i do wrong? do i need to put it in the refrigerator next time? or me by it is because of the temp in the garage was hooter then in my kitchen?

Sounds like it overheated due to the sugars in the milk. If your lye water was orange after you added the milk and got thick, that was from the sugars caramelizing. When soap gels, it gets soft, then it firms up again. I would leave it be for now.

What I normally do is use minimum water recommended to dissolve the lye. Then add the room temp milk to my dissolved but cooled of oils. Then mix lye water and oils/milk together. Some people have had good luck with slushy milk, to which they added the lye all at once and stirred fast and well. Since I prefer not to gel, I either put the soap in the fridge or the freezer.
