Soapqueen,

Those are pretty soaps (back near the beginning of this thread). They have a nice opaque look, does this mean NO gel for those soaps?

The Purple/Yellow/Black one did not go through gel phase. The Blue/Yellow/White/Purple did go through gel phase but I shaved the tippy tops of the soaps off so the gel-sheen isn't as apparent (I shaved off the top because I had a wee bit of alien brains going on). I easily go both ways - gel, no gel - but tend to go towards gelling because my recipes usually soap a bit warmer and it's just difficult to get the soap NOT to gel! =)

Thanks I had read the description just wondered what your nose said about it.

So the official fragrance description warns "
This fragrance *does discolor* to a caramel color in soap".

Did you use a vanilla stabilizer or did your color just mask the discoloration?

I am pretty much a lurker here, but I love reading all the questions and seeing all the great pictures. I am lucky enough to live in Bellingham, and actually got to meet Toby the puppy when I went to Otion to pick my stuff up lol. Anyways, here is my first batch of CP, I used a mix of Energy, Tangerine, and coconut for the scents. I know everyone says to take it easy and do a couple plain batches first, but I was SOOO excited. It's very summery and delicious. Now I just have to wait for it to cure. The hardest part was definitely waiting while it naps without bothering it. I made another batch today (shaving soap this time), and I'm waiting to see how that turned out.

Thank you! They smell like fruity, sweet cocktail drinks during the summer. Super refreshing, I cannot wait to use them during morning showers lol.
