Two of my latest soaps! On the right is Mudkip soap, a challenge from a friend of mine to make a soap inspired by the internet's favorit pokemon. Its scented with creamsicle fragrance oil. It was supposed to be more swirly, but the soap traced a bit faster then expected. The one on the left is coconut, lime, verbena soap. Limey on the bottom, coppery top. Again, supposed to be a swirl, but blended too long. I swear, one day, I /will/ get the hang of in the mold swirling!!

Good job TryblTrtle! I've been making soaps for a long time and sometimes they still have a mind of their own.

Thanks! I tried swirling the lovespell soap I made, but looks like I accidentally bought purple mica that disappears in CP. Dunno how I missed the warning! So...no swirls in that one either, just sparkles! I'll get the hang of it, but until then...its the flaws in handmade stuff that makes it great, right! *laughs*

I always put my finished soap in the fridge as my mold is too big for the freezer. I leave it in the fridge for 12-24 hours and then take it out to sit for a day (if I can wait that long). The only time I get partial gel is when I take too long to get it into the freezer (ie. taking photos etc.).

Yes swirling took me a long time to figure out. Just keep practicing and you will get it. I like the colour of the blue one.
