are you looking to make salt bars or just add salt to harder bars style?

Dissolve 1 tsp. of table salt in 2-3 tsps. of water. Mix well. Add this salt water to your lye water after it has cooled off. Than proceeed as normal. This amount can be used at up to 3 lbs. of raw soap.

I'm not making salt bars. I actually did make salt bars a couple days ago and they turned nice and very hard, so I decided to use
some fine sea salt to harden my regular soap bars.

Would this "salt to harden" work on soaps with a soft oil base? I made a fabulous Tomato Basil soap last week, but since I used 50% rapeseed oil, it turned out soft. ( I knew it would, but I used what oils I had on hand.)

So my question is: would adding salt to a soft oil based soap harden it to a decent degree??
