Teach Soap

I made my first batch of CP shaving soap and when I took it out of the mold, it had brown spots in it. I don't think it's dreaded orange spots because it didn't happen during the curing process. Could it be the bentonite clay? I've never worked with clay before, so not sure if I mixed it all in correctly. I mixed it into my oils. Any thoughts? I can post pics if you need. I thought I'd let my husband test it when it's finished curing to see if it is still a nice shaving soap, in spite of it's spotted appearance.

What was your recipe and how much clay PPO did you use?

My recipe was:
13 oz olive oil
10 oz coconut oil
7 oz palm oil
2.5 oz castor oil
4.7 oz lye
9.4 oz water
2 Tbs. bentonite clay
1 oz FO

Ok, none of your oils are dark. So it's either the clay or the fragrance that didn't get completely incorporated. If it's the clay, it's easier if you mix your clay with some held back water from the water calculations. Then add this slurry to your soap as soon as it's emulsified. Did you use a stick blender?
