when i rebatched soap in it the one time, i noticed that the low setting was too hot and actually burned the soap, so i used the warm setting. do you guys think id need to do the same for making HP in crockpot or would it require a bit higher heat? or would higher heat only speed it up and not burn it?

I have always used the low setting with no problems. I would try the warm and see if that works for you.
