Oh Okay, That's slack they said no to making a thread for just mp soapers.
I just have yahoo groups for soap making, and they re all melt and pour and cold process/hp mixed together.

But that's okay, I'm sure alot of people here will agree with the melt and pour specific group, I'm just happy to be able to talk/help to aussie soapers.

Where is everybody ? Stacey and l seem to be the only ones on this weekend.Did you sort out your problem with the toffee soap?,l have great memories of toffee when the kids were small ,l can remember burning a pan of it and ended up throwing out my very favourite saucepan, nothing would get that burnt toffee off it.I also remember putting some red dye in the toffee to make them different and then trying to get the stain off from the kids faces .

lol i'll probably end up being in the same situation when my girls are old enough to have toffee, i've never made toffee but i'm pretty crap in the kitchen, something always ends up over cooked or burnt.

Yeah the Toffee soap are fine, just made a label last night which i'll stick on the packaging. Just put a logo on it, the name of the soap and the fragrance and then the soap ingredients.

How are your cupcakes and thongs coming along? You'll have to post a photo of some of them :)

Some of my cupcakes etc left today ,my son did a lightening visit and grab a couple of boxes but l still have some here so l will take some photo's probably tomorrow, the sun is shining and the garden is beckoning at least more like crying for attention so thats where l have to be this afternoon although it takes me a darn long time since l can't kneel because l have 2 knee replacements and l can't bend since my last spine op.How l hate arthritis making me an old lady before l am ready. :(
Anyway hopefully the girls will be back on line when the weekend has finished and l can find out what everybody wants to call our facebook group.Stacey how are you off for moulds? l have been going through mine and l have a couple l don't use so l thought somebody who is just new might like them.

Hi pops1. I like Aussie Melt and Pour Soapers. I agree with you that the M & P soapers get swamped by the CP soapers in the other forums. Also, there is already a forum called Aussie Soapers which is mainly CP soapers. Also, I think if people are doing an aussie m & p internet search, it would be easy to find :)

pops1 - oh cool! Be good to see the photos. I just pulled out some melt and pour "rainbow" soap I made a couple of weeks ago to find they aren't so rainbow anymore, all one dreary dark colour, guessing the colours I bought bleed, and all the colours have bled together, kind of spewin cause I was going to sell them to some friends/family who are eager to try out my soap.

So sorry about your arthritis :( My mother in law suffers arthritis in her leg from a bad car accident she had a fair few yrs ago, it's starting to get worse and she gets really upset, she's used to doing so much around her house and loves gardening.

I have 4 moulds at the moment, I buy some with my orders when I can. Have you got some you're no longer using?

- Stace.

Sorry for the late reply!! Thanks for the "heads up" Pauline :D
I think Aussie Melt & Pour Soapers is a good one - very descriptive and should come up if people search.
Just saw the post re Kiwis (God Bless us all!) maybe:
Melt & Pour Pacific Soapers
Melt & Pour ANZACs lol
Aussie Kiwi Melt & Pour Soapers
Trans Tasman Melt & Pour Soapers
and on the subject of moulds I have a couple of tray moulds you can have too Stacey - not very fancy ones but you're more than welcome to them as I don't use them at all!

Hmmm, I don't know about the adding kiwi, but I do like the idea, I like what purplemolly said with adding the pacific in it.. or just aussie kiwi in it

Thanks guys, I can p.m my address to yous in a second, that's a great idea pauline, a swap for other things then soap, i'm sure everyone will be eager to try something like that too.

Yeah I bought just liquid soap colours, and i'm annoyed they bled, but I guess that's life. Wonder how other people do the rainbow soaps without the colours bleeding into each other.

So glad my soaps are finished and packed now for this soap swap, feeling the colds coming back again, my 17 month old daughters is standing here watching me sneeze my brains out and shes trying to copy my sneeze but instead is coughing

xx

Stacey:-These are the colourants that won't bleed into each other and what you use for rainbow soap.
http://www.aussiesoapsupplies.com.au/Li ... c-100.html ,not sure where else you can get them in Australia checked your 2 closest sellers and they don't seem to stock them .The other alternative is using mica which they do sell ,if you use Mica just have to really mix it up well before adding to the soap or you end up with lumps in your soap .

dont have access to internet at home at the moment so thats why i have been a bit quiet this weekend, but i like the facebook idea - Aussie & New Zealand Melt & Pour Soap Makers maybe?

I have really only seen CP soap making forums and groups in aus which is a bit annoying.
