OK - I've got all the gear - I'm ready to start my first M & P bars..... I'm wondering how to store/package given that I don't have a heat gun to 'shrink wrap' ?

Many thanks Mel xx

If I were you I would go and buy a heat gun. You can get them at Michaels when they have those 40 or 50 Percent off coupons.

I bought my heat gun on line from England which was a lot cheaper than buying one in Australia.I bought an embossing gun that they use for scrap booking and it works fine on shrinkwrap.
I would use saran wrap(clingwrap) or straight cellophane when you are first starting out.You really don't need to shrinkwrap if its for personal use, all you have to do is make sure that the soap is wrapped so the air can't get to it and since Sydney is a devil for humidity you will need to do it as soon as your soaps are cool, don't be tempted to put them in the fridge to make them cool faster that encourages the glycerin to start sweating and you will end up with lots of little bubbles all over your lovely soap.Been there done that ....so l am speaking from experience.
Have you looked at the Soap Queen videos they are marvelous teaching tools ,l just love them and they cover just about everything you need to know to start off M & P soaping.

Pauline - you just read my mind ! I saw some Embossing guns on Ebay just now and posted asking if they'd be OK - I'm thrilled to hear they work well....

Yes I've watched the Soap Queen videos - but I need to go thru them again and take notes.... I'm picking up so much on this forum also ....

many thanks for your experiences - especially the warning on the fridge cooling (that is exactly what I'd be tempted to do !)
