Nice soaps, soapchick! I've been meaning to build myself a light box, but haven't attempted it yet.

Very nice soaps, too, jkmcreative! I like the natural look, too. Yours even look like cold-process soaps. The engraving is a nice touch, and your packaging is fab! :D

I keep meaning to build a light box ... and end up propping up sheets of A4 paper together under my kitchen lights to try and get the same effect lol - (note to self ... must do it properly!!)
The slideshow was really effective in showing off your soaps julz - they really do look like CP soap! I agree with mella though - maybe some music would be good? Maybe some "spa" type music?

I agree with changing the font - Because you're going with the hand-crafted look perhaps a font that looks like hand writing? The Gothic can be hard to read and M & W are especially hard!

I used one of my molds - here it is!

File comment: I used Passionfruit Papaya FO and 2 tints of yellow, 1 tint of orange, and 2 tints of purple. Let it set a bit and slopped it rather than poured to get "clumpy" layers lol. Seems to have adhered well. Spritzed between pours and didn't use the fridge or freezer so fingers crossed!

Your mold came out really nice Molly, very pretty. It must hold a bit of soap, like a load! LOL

Do you like the passionfruit fragrance? It sure matches up with the beautiful blossom, very tropical!

Thank you mella - it holds about 1kilo of soap so just a little less than the loaf pan! Passionfruit Papaya isn't one of my favourites but I thought would suit the flower! It's a nice tropical scent but not too sweet. I was really pleased with how the colours came out. I filled the first two layers slowly and carefully to get the flower design ... did plan to do that with all the rows of petals but ran out of patience!!!! I was originally going to do each round a different colour ... I'm not good on precise fiddly stuff - I like the random effects you get from layering lots of colours in a loaf!

Thank you also jkmcreative and Bramble Momma - no didn't make the mould (wish I was that clever!!). It was one I bought from a Salvation Army store (I think you call them thrift stores?). We call them Opp Shops (Opportunity Shops). This one always has silicon moulds and I bought 2. I posted on another thread with them when I got them cause one of them had a tear :(

That is one beautiful soap PurpleMolly,l just love the colour combination.I am not sure l would have your patience. You have done a lovely job.
Was that mould one of the Salvos new items or secondhand ?,l have found them on the net but they are about $13 with freight a lot more than your $5 .

More than happy to help. If you could let me know tonight (if possible) whether you would like just one or one of each that would be great as my daughter is going to go there tomorrow morning!
