Purple Molly asked ...."How much honey did you add in? I'd love to try that but I scare easily!!!
Answer:- Me too ,l know you can add up to 2 tablespoons to 1lb of soap base but l only added 1 just in case it made it sticky.I have made a great biscuit base for my cake slices that looks like real biscuit crust ,l just added some brown sugar to my base and it worked a treat and it still lathers up well.
I tried to crop the picture down to get a good view of the lemon slice with the base showing but it doesn't show it up enough.
Snowxwhitex:-Quality does differ considerably l started off with the cheaper base but l now buy the Brambleberries soap base from Aussie soap supplies. Its about $16-$17 a kg but l get the Low Sweat Coconut natural base which we need over in Victoria with our high humidity in the summer and once you have used the Brambleberrie base you won't want to go back to the cheaper versions, you can really feel the difference on your skin because l can only get Opaque low sweat from Aussie Soap Supplies l have to buy my clear from another source which is Sounds Creative on Ebay
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... K:MEWAX:it isn't as good as the Brambleberries but since Aussie Soap Supplies don't stock a low sweat clear l have to go elsewhere and as you will see its a lot cheaper.
