Teach Soap

Hey Everyone!

We thought it would be a fun idea to do a soap swap, and we're extending the invite to all - MP, CP, CPOP, HP, etc.!

We're hoping to get at least 8 (maybe more!) participants.

Simply put the birth date and the use after date on your labels, ladies, for those that do CP bar soap.

* Swap signup closes Friday, May 7, 2010
* Any type of soap goes: liquid, bar, whipped
* FO or EO's will do (if someone is allergic to certain ones, please specify!)
* 3-5 oz. bars; at least 2 ounce liquid
* Put on label: Birth Date ____ and Use After ______ date if it's CP and still needs time to cure
* Boxes and return shipping to due swap mom, frimfram, no later than May 25, 2010
* Use a flat rate box to save $ (unless you know of a less expensive method)
* Please use Pay Pal or send bank check to Swap Hostess (frimfram); I will PM my address to participants
* Have fun and be creative!

We could open it up, although for international soapers, I don't think we can do the flat rate priority mail boxes (curses USPS!), we'd need to charge whatever the cost of international shipping would be. Let me know if that sounds acceptable to you and I'll be happy to add you to the list!

Thanks Soapbuddy! This will be much easier than having to go back and forth to update.

I know I'm new to this board, but can I play too? I'll understand if there is a rule about board activity/time on forum. If so, I'll wait for the next one.

Hi Sonya,

Basically you start crafting! Make 7 (or more, depending on how many swappers we end up with) bars/whipped soap/ liquid soap (whicher you choose to make, I'm guessing you're doing bars, like I am) and send them to me by May 25. I will distribute them among the boxes for the other swappers. I won't be sending your bar back to you, that's why it is 1 less than the total amount of people signed up, if that makes sense. You pay for your return shipping. I'm thinking we can use the flat rate boxes (unless the post office/UPS/FedEx tells me it is cheaper to use another service). Believe me, I will look for the cheapest method possible. I should have a better idea of the cost of postage once everyone is done crafting, but for the last swap I did, it was $12.70 for my box to me from Florida, Priority Mail, if that gives you an indication of cost. That was for 7 soaps (mix lot of bar soaps and liquid soap.)

no theme, just make something you like, or something you have wanted to try! the whole point is to get inspired. I think I'm going to do some swirly soaps!

Do they all have to be the same or can be a mix of items?
