I have made a margarita soap with a layer of dead sea salt as an exfoliant on one side. We half poured the soap, waited until it set, then reheated the mix added the salt and poured it on top of the other layer... It did make the soap a little drying on the skin, but it worked nicely as an exfoliant.

thank you very much for your response, how do you think I would go about getting the soap to not be drying on the skin? let me just make sure I understand correctly though, you poured first, then re-melted the rest of the soap, waited for the first later that you poured to set, then added the sea salt to the melted soap and then poured it on top of the set layer and then poured another later on too of the salted layer?

OMG!! What part of LI are you from? That's where I moved from 2 years ago!!! NE way, I know this might sound like I'm slow, but do you think there is a step by step to that link that you sent me to? Somewhere? Anywhere? The reason why I'm asking is because I can't picture what I would have to do and in what order. Any help is appreciated and thank you very much!!!
