Teach Soap

For those of you that have websites, what merchant account do you have and what shopping cart do you use? Is it easy to intergrate into your website. Any suggestions would be appreciated. There are so many online I don't know how to choose.

I use Propay to process my credit card orders. I have a Joomla cart, but it takes some getting used to.

Hi Dustygarden. I always think of Huckleberry fo when I see you on the forum.

If you use PayPal you can use a free PayPal cart. PayPal processes all major credit cards without requiring buyers to join although there is a place in PayPal settings where that option has to be checked. You don't need a merchant account. You do need a Pay Pal premier or business account. If you have a basic account the upgrade is pretty simple. Paypal takes 2.9 % + 30 cents of each sale if your sales are under $3000. a month I think it is. I'd have to look it up again.

Another forum member uses and likes Mal's E-cart, which is also free. Seems to me she uses PayPal for processing. Here's a thread about Mal's. viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2449

And yet another forum member uses Zen cart. So those are some other options for you. Hope you're doing well.

I belong to Sam's Wholesale club, and as a member, I got a "real" merchant account throught them at really good rates. As for installing it in my zencart website? Uh.. I'm a DUH... A friend did it for me. Sorry..

I finally went with Mals for a shopping cart. It wasn't too difficult to set up in my website and I went with the paypal standard for processing the credit cards. And FYI, I am using JustHost for the website.
