Ok, so I was testing this new recipe by me and unfortunately I think I made a mistake punching in wrong number in the chart for lye calculation and I'm about 7% lye discount plus I superfat for 2%. That sounds really high % of oil not being saponified. I took the soap out of the mold today and found the log extra greasy. My question is, can I save this batch? What should I do?

9% superfat is not bad. Give it some time and see if the oil will absorb back in. In most instances it does.

I guess I got too nervous... I never punched in wrong number before, and definitely never superfat that high percentage. It actually looks fine now and I tried a piece under water and it's lathering pretty well, not greasy at all. Thanks, soapbuddy.
