Teach Soap

Hi,
I am just about ready to start buying ingredients to make melt and pour soap for the first time. There is a recipe on the Teach Soap website with oatmeal. It calls for 8 oz. white/opaque base and 8 oz. clear base. Can I substitute Bramble Berry's goatsmilk base (use 8 oz.) and Bramble Berry's honey base (use 8 oz.) instead of using what it calls for. That way it will be oatmeal, milk and honey melt and pour soap? If you don't fully understand what I am asking, I can reword it for you. Just let me know.

You should be fine substituting with the bases you already have on hand. I would try making a small bar first to make sure you are happy with it. Also I find it helps when you are using two different bases from the same company. I have Brambleberry's clear and white and mix them all the time or have layered with clear and then white before and haven't had a problem.

That's what I did when I made my first bars of soap (used BB goats milk and BB honey bases). I based it off another recipe I found on the BB blog, only I just used the bases and OMH fragrance. They turned out great and I really like the goats milk and honey base combo! Here is that tutorial:
