I'm making a batch of soap today, and I measured out my oils then was going to infuse them with some rosemary on the stove... I guess I should have just infused a thing of olive oil or something instead of trying to infuse all my oils together. Anyway, the cheesecloth came apart and rosemary went everywhere, which meant I had to strain it, and all I had to do this with was cheesecloth. In the straining process I obviously lost some oil. My original weight was 571g, and now I have 523, which is significant for that size batch... If I added more oil in the same percentage they were in the original to get me back up to my original weight can I salvage the batch? or would it be too risky since I don't know what percentage of what I lost...I just don't want to have to throw out all that good oil, lol
I'd really appreciate some input from some more experienced soapmakers..
Thanks
