I'm beginning to pick up and learn a smidge about fragrance. Expensive endeavor that!

Anyhoo my question is using anchors to help fragrance have some longevity on the skin or in the soap.

Do all EO's act as anchors, say if you use 10 ml of a citrus and 2 ml of a fruit and 1 ml of a litsea, mint, ylang ylang EO, will they anchor the citrus and fruit?

Can a FO like say Macha Tea act as an anchor for fruit or floral FO's?

Essential oils like Vetiver, Litsea or Patchouli act as anchors. They help with the scent sticking in soap, not necesarilly on the skin. Fragrances is all 'nother animal, since we don't know what aroma chemicals were used. You can try a small batch with the two fragrances and see if that works.

Another question, does it have to be Patchouli EO? Can it be Patchouli FO? I have some tangerine FO that will fade in CP and have some Patchouli FO I thought I might be able to anchor it with that. Although, I do have Litsea EO coming in a package on monday.
