Teach Soap

I received a lovely gift of Matcha Tea fragrance oil in my last BB order. This fragrance is lovely and new to me, a unique blend of tea citrus and touch of floral I think.

It isn't really enough for a CP batch so I'm looking for a fragrance to pair with it. Does anyone have experience with this fragrance? TIA

However, makes an unappealing smelling soap. Mixing with something else is a very, very good idea.

I also recieved this in one of my shipments and used it in a 2# batch. I liked the smell but by only using that sample bottle the sent faded alot - maybe due to the citrus in it. I would anchor it with something else.

Matcha's one of my husband's favorites - it is a lighter fragrance, & I can see it fading quickly in CP. But in M&P & scrubs, it sticks beautifully. Try blending it with another citrus (yuzu, orange, maybe grapefruit?), or a nice dry sandalwood - the sandalwood will help the scent stick, as well.

I don't know what you have on hand but you can add any similar FOs like, green tea, tea ceramony, pink grapefruit. What dosen't smell good with grapefruit ?

Thanks everyone for your input. I haven't decided if I will go MandP, probably do that. I just enjoy that pink grapefruit so much!

I blend it with any of the tea scents, it blends really well Green is nice, so is black tea and Matcha. You could even try something else green like sweetgrass.

I got some sweetgrass and didn't like it by itself. But it blended nice with lavender or any herbal FO.

What about matcha tea with egyptian geranium?
