I just got this note from a customer and wanted to post it here and see if anyone had any thoughts on making this soap:

I happened on a soap site that had a spa soap made with sea salts. I have access to lots of sea salt here,
AND a friend that owns a spa. I have tried looking for a soap recipe with sea salt but can't seem to find any.

I have tried to use it sprinkled on top of soap sort of like a scrubbing soap, but it just melts into the soap. Here's the one

Yep, I make those, too.

Salt bars are fairly easy, and completely break the rules of most soaps. A basic recipe to start with would be around 80% coconut, the remainder oils of your choice. At light to medium trace, stir in salt equal to the weight of your oils. You may want to superfat just a bit higher than usual - say, 7% instead of 5%. They lather a bit differently than regular soap. They also look a bit scrubby, but in use are smooth as a rock, and even though they sound like they'd be drying, they aren't.

They're easiest to manage if you use the CPOP method (putting the mold in the oven to gel) - and they need to be cut while still warm, because if you wait you'll need a bandsaw. Seriously. If you don't do CPOP, individual molds are probably the way to go.
