Thanks everybody for your suggestions on packaging my molded soap designs. Several weeks ago I had ordered the cellophane gusseted bags to use for the molded designs. That just didn't look right . So, next I tried shrink wrap. That works fine for plain rectangle soaps, but not for the molded designs. So, last night I started looking at the other sample cellophane bags that the company had sent me. It was right in front of my nose all the time. These bags have a very strong sealer tape, and it comes with a triangle hole at the top to be placed on a display rack. I don't know how to place a picture on here, but if you would like to view a picture of the bag I finally settled on, you can go to my website, click on Herbal Soap. Scroll to the bottom of the page to view my sample cellophane packaging. www.mullinslogcabin.net
Thanks for everyone's help. Judy in KY

I'm glad you liked my pictures. Hopefully the reviewing committee for the World Equestrain Games will like them too. I'm not sure if I will get to sell my soaps there, but I already sell at a very nice shop in Lexington, and two other craft stores. So, one way or the other, I think it will work out.
Maybe you and your husband can come down and visit my log cabin sometime. I also live in a log house, plus I work part time in a log cabin museum. I don't know what it is, but I just have a passion for log houses, soap making, and basket making.

What a special getaway. Your photos capture so much charm, and your soaps are wonderful. So glad you found a solution that doesn't hide any of the soap's detail.

That's great you found a solution. I love that cellophane bag. I have a boat load of shrink wrap to use up but would love to explore something like that down the road. Do you mind sharing where you bought them? If not no worries as I'll see if I can find a Canadian supplier.

I don't mind sharing at all. This type of bag that I ordered is called Lip and Tape Cello Bags, and the company is GT Bag Company

Those look great and really do allow the detail on your soap to show. Plus your labels are charming.

I have the horses head mold also, could you tell me what size the bag is that you used? Thanks.

I honestly can't tell you the size of the bag. Several samples came in my order for the gusseted bags. I ordered two different sizes when I placed my last order, and they haven't come in yet. When they arrive, I'll post it. Seems like it was something like 3.5 by 4.5, but not sure.
