So I decided to try my hand out at bath bombs -- I'm experienced w/ cp soap but I wanted something new to try out!

I have read various recipes that either say to use witch hazel or rubbing alcohol to give it a couple of spritz with --

What are the pro's/con's of using each of them?
What have all of you used successfully or which do you prefer and why?

Thanks for your help!
Melissa

I've used both. I find since witch hazel has water, it can start the fizzing reaction early. Rubbing alcohol dissipates into the air, so that might be a better option for you. I do use witch hazel as rubbing alcohol makes me dizzy and light headed from the fumes.
